PLN Final Report

this is a picture of a smiley face
I love my symballo because it’s all about me and the tools I use every day. I have mine organized by color and by usage. I like that one I want to add or delete something it only takes a few clicks. I didn’t even know this kind of program was out there and it was free. This program is excellent if you really want to use a PLN and makes it fun and easy.

C4k Summary

I had some very interesting kids this past November and this December. I commented on a post about a review for a math test by a fourth grade student. I told the student that math isn’t easy and it is very important to really learn it the first time so that when you see it again you don’t have to relearn the math. Another student came from Mrs.Conlin’s Flat Stanley Project. My students Stanley was named Flat Rohin and he was traveling to Oregon. I loved the flat Stanley video. I use to have a flat Stanley and took him on trips with me. The last student I had Clare. Clare’s blog was about her mother’s car having problems. Her mom was able to barrow a care until she could get a rental car. They didn’t know what was wrong with the care but clare was confused with what car her mom was driven by the time she go out of school. I told her that haven car problems are no fun. That some times we forget how important it is to take care of our car until it is not working.

Teacher Summary

My teacher number four was the blog titled What Ed Said. The first blog post I commented on was, “It’s Learning that matters…. Isn’t it?” This consisted of a really cool video with students talking about what their feeling are about what their teachers are really saying to them. I also read the letter from the middle school teacher. I agreed that elementary school and middle school are very different and teachers really need to give students time to adjust. The second blog post I commented on was “If it works for us…” This was a post was a list of the most valuable kind of PD he has used over the years. I really liked his list and I liked looking at his history and what worked for him. I want to be able to take what he learned and apply that to what I will learn in the future.

Go to http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2010/01/what-makes-a-great-teacher/7841/ and read, What Makes a Great Teacher and watch The Motivator. After reading and watching the video briefly describe your idea on what makes a great teacher.

I think I great teachers is some one who loves what they are doing and it shows in their work. They take time to interact with their students and make learning fun. A teacher should be willing to listen to their students and learn from them just as their students learn from them. I think that being any kind of teacher takes a special person and those people are truly helping make every day a better place.

Project 14

How to Insert ATL and TITLE to Blog Post Pictures

C4T #3 Summary

I have been fallowing Mr. Bill Ferriter . Mr. Ferriter teaches 6th grade language arts in North Carolina, where he was named a Regional Teacher of the Year for 2005-2006. He has designed professional development courses for educators nationwide. His trainings include how to use blogs, wikis, and podcasts in the classroom; the role of iTunes in teaching and learning; and the power of digital movie making.
The first post I commented on was titled “Teacher Evaluation is Fatally Flawed”. In this post Mr.Ferriter talks about Teachers getting evaluated and how they really aren’t being done correctly. He talks about the number of flaws he sees in his own teaching but still manages to get excellent ratings on his teacher evaluations. I told Mr.Ferriter that I do not know much if any about teacher evaluations other then my dad is an administrator and he has talked about how important it is to really do them right. I also read so other peoples comments on his thoughts and on person asked if maybe evaluators are scared that they are going to run teachers off and I wondered why teachers would be scared if they use the bad comments as a way of helping them improve.
The second blog post I commented on was titled “What Does Technorati’s State of the Blogosphere Report Mean for Education Bloggers”. ? This was very interesting to me because before EDM310 I had no clue what blogging was. Mr.Ferriter takes the main concepts of Technorati’s State of Blogosphere report and summarizes the main points. I told him that I was a new bloger and have really enjoyed the process and having the chance to read other blogs and respond to them.

Blog Assignment 11

At first I wasn’t sure about the concept of using a DS to promote learning. Then Mrs. Cassidy made it work, why not let kids use the newest technology devises and learn something educational at the same time. I love the smart board and to me it’s sort of like a fun new toy just like a DS is to a child and I plan to use it as much as I can in my classroom. I want to use the new things that I have learned in EDM to its fullest. I think I would like to have my students or class as have a blog and give them a head start in learning to use technology as much as they can. I know that a lot of schools aren’t fully up to date with technology in the class room but I hope that this change by the time I get my first teaching job.

additional Assignment #3

I think that disciplining children when needed is very important. Sir Ken Robinson Did a very good job with his video and I enjoyed it. I don’t believe that giving kid’s medicine is a automatic cure for any kind of problems they have. I feel like in the last few years that giving kid’s medicine for their behavior problems is a new fad. I agreed with every thing Sir Ken Robinson said because when I thought about it he was right. Since I have gotten out of high school my education experience as been very consistent. I go to class where my teacher doesn’t know my name then I sit there and listen and take notes on every thing that my teacher says is important and then I am expected to take a test. I want parents to really make sure that there is nothing that they can to before taken their kids in to be put on medication for their behavior problems. I thought that the art work was really good and I would like to be the artist for something like this. The sound affects where cool but I am bad at putting sound with pictures.

C4k Summary

I commented on Vickucha’s blog. This was a really kool kid and I enjoyed going threw her blog and reading all her post. Most of her post had to do with her friends and how important they were to her. I told her that friends are very important to have and a great to make memories with. I also got to comment on Tristin’s blog. I really enjoyed his blog and loved the video and blog post he did about the Chile Miners. I told him that I had been fallowing the story and he did a great job of getting the information out there to share with every one.

Smartboard

Blog Assignment 10

An Open Letter to Educators
I had Morgan Bayda blog earlier in the year and I really enjoyed her blog and every thing she had to share. Dan Brown made a video about educational facilities and how they needed to improve. He really wanted to make it clear that it’s ok to change and not play by the rules all the time. The world is changing every day and nothing is going to stop that. It’s up to us as future teachers to make sure that our students will be able to survive. The kids that we will be teaching they are the future so schools, teachers, parents, the community and ect need to do all they can to make sure that students are learning and the use of technology is a big factor.

Don’t let them take pencils home
I remember one of my teachers telling me I was the worst speller she had ever come across. So I really enjoyed Mr. Johnson’s blog about hangman. I remember playing hangman and I really enjoyed the game especially when it was used in school to learn how to spell vocabulary words and spelling words. My parents always helped me with spelling by making flash cards, calling out my spelling words in the car and using the words every day. I use to think about the kids who didn’t have parents to do that with them and really struggled with spelling. I think that its important as a teacher to remember that not every child has the same opportunity to get help at home so while they are teaching it’s a great idea to have fun games like hangman to help kids find different ways of learning.

Two Questions that can change your life
I loved this video. It was very empowering and made me think. The quote , “ Are you better today then yesterday?” gave me the chance to really look back and think about my past the good and the bad. It’s important to know who you are and to always do your best to never forget who you are and what you stand for and to strive to improve because no one is perfect. My sentence is “ I am the past, present , and future.”

Blog Assignment 9

I think that Mr.McClung really helped me be more aware of how hard it is to be to be a new teacher but at the same time how exciting it is. I understand how important it is to remember that all students might not be on the same level and that I can’t expect every one to make perfect scores. I liked that he talked about the use of technology because by taking this class I have learned how useful technology is going to be in my teaching and how much more I will be able to add to my lessons. I have asked both of my parents, who are educators, about the idea of keeping to your lesson plan and like Mr.McClung they told me that some of the best lessons are the ones that aren’t necessarily planed out point by point. I have been in a 3rd grade class room for about a month now and I have learned that listening to your students is very important. Kids need to feel like some ones listening to them. Some times your students can teach you things that you never knew or give you different outlooks on topics you thought you knew a lot about. Over all I think this was a great article and I enjoyed all the information.

Blog Assignment 8

What Richard Miller: This is how we dream Parts 1 and 2

The videos covered a lot of information in a short amount of time. It was a lot to take in with the screen changing and listening at the same time. I liked the concept of the information. I think that it’s very impotent to use the resources that are at there. I love the library and going and looking at books but the internet has really made that processes a lot more time consuming. I like being able to pull up all different kinds of information at one with just a click of a button. I think that it is time to work on being more cultural diverse. I don’t think we should jump right into things like multimedia writing just because I am just getting use to a lot of new technology concepts.

The Chipper Series and EDM for Dummies

I loved the chipper video and the EDM for Dummies video, the acting was great. I thought it was a great way to show how important it is to not only stay in school and not just quiet because one doesn’t like the way things are done. I also thought that it was a great way to remind every one that putting things off to the last minuet isn’t always going to work out. I like the EDM for Dummies book idea. I sort of thought that the information given to us threw are online instructions was the online version.

Dumb Smartboards?

I like the smartboard. I have used it every time I have gone to my school to do my observation hours. My students love being able to get up and interact with the lesion. I think that they learn a lot more and stay interested a lot longer. I know smartboards are a lot of money but I think they are worth it and in the long run will pay off. Kids need to be able to learn in all different ways and the smartboard is another tool that I think would be a great investment in all class rooms.

Additional Assignment # 2

1. What do you think? If learners are motivated, can they teach themselves?
I think that if you really want to learn something that you will teach yourself how to do it, and when you teach yourself I think you tent to get more out of the experience.
2. If those motivated learners are kids, can they teach themselves?
I think that kids are a lot smarter then they are given credit for some times. I also take in consideration a Childs age; I wouldn’t expect a 3rd grader to be able to teach themselves at the same level or speed as an 8th grader.
3. What conditions are necessary for kids to teach themselves? For anyone to teach him or herself? I think the biggest factor to any one teaching them self is motivation. Kids teach themselves things all the time. Motivation and determination is very important.
4. What roll do computer and internet access play in the process?
The computer and internet are very important tools to me in any learning experience. When I want to get back ground information or ideas for something I want to learn the first thing I do is go to my computer and Google my topic. So much information is out there that it would be a waste not to use the information.
5. What role does motivation, a desire to learn? If one doesn’t want to learn then her or she isn’t going to put the effort that is need to be successful then nothing will be accomplished.
6. What roles do a problem, a question or multiple problems or questions plat in the process? I think that problems cause questions. When one comes across a problem usually they want to know the answer to that problem.
7. How do you motivate someone to learn? I think the best way to motivate some one to learn is to make learning fun.
8. How are you motivated to learn? I love finding knew things out and knew ways to do things. I also thing that not getting something right the first time really motivates me when it comes to learning.
9. Can any one who is not motivated learn? I think motivation is the leading factor of learning. I don’t think that you can really learn and grasp a concept completely unless you want to.
10. Do you teach yourself? When? Why? I teach myself knew thing on a daily basis. I like to take look at all my mistakes as a learning experience.
11. What role does a teacher (either answer generally or use a specific example) play in your learning? I think that teachers are there to motivate and to ask kids questions that make them want to learn and find the answer to. I work with 3rd graders and I love to ask them why about everything they tell me.
12. What is the most important idea, question or emotional response you take away with you as a result of watching this video? I think I took away the feeling of disappointment in kids leaving in the United States today. I believe that a lot is taken for granted, compared to those children are not motivated at all. You could see how excited those kid where to learn and find the answers and I have walked in classrooms where kid’s heads are on the desk they are asleep.
13. What other questions or issues are raised by this video that should be considered and discussed by aspiring teachers? I think teachers should question the way things are being taught and try to figure out knew ways to motivate their students instead of giving hours of copying notes off the chalkboard.

Teacher Summary #2

this is a picture of the word what we are learning next
I have been reading and commenting on Dr. Strange‘s blog. Dr.Strange teaches EDM310 at the University of South Alabama. I commented first on Doctor Strange’s story about Anthony and a day he expirenced at the labs helping other students with EDM work. I found the story verey good because I had experienced the same thing. Anthony talked about how he helped a student and that student was able to help other students. I told Dr. Strange about how nervous I was about asking for help in the lab because I didn’t want any one to think I was lazy. I finally asked one of the lad assistances for help and he showed me what I was doing wrong. After that I was able to show another friend who was having the same problem I did how to fixes it saving her the stress I had. The second post I commented on was a story about the use of the ipad and how some people are still skeptical about it. I told Dr.Strange that I thought the ipad was great and that it was so cool how perusal they become once you add all the apps you want. I don’t have an ipad but I have an ipod touch and I love it and I hope to get an ipad for Christmas this year.

Blog Assignment 7

this is a picture of a smileyface with thumbs up
Randy Pausch is a professor at Carnegie Mellon. He is an amazing speaker filled with a lot of energy and was well worth the watch. Mr. Pausch talked about his dreams as a child and how important it is to fulfill those dreams and to not let any one stand in your way; it reminded me of checking things off a bucket list. Mr.Pausch “last lecture”, reminded me never to take life for granted and live it to the fullest.
During his speech Mr. Pausch refers to a “brick wall”, this wall is a wall he has encountered and a wall that I think every one has encountered at one point in their lives. He talks about the wall and says that the wall is their to block the people who aren’t willing to do any thing and every thing to get around it. I agree with him that if you really want to accomplish something you have to be willing to do any thing. The brick wall blocks the people who just stare at it and never find away threw it.
I loved Mr.Pausch quote “experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want”. He is so right, every thing isn’t suppose to be easy. If we didn’t fail in life then we wouldn’t learn any thing. As children we all learn to ride a bike and during that time we fall down. Through that experience of falling down we learn how not to fall down. Mr.Pausch talks about all the people that his experiences and the people that where along for that ride including is family. Those are the people you will remember the ones that where there when you where falling.
I think that almost all students at one point dread some part of the learning process. I think Mr.Pausch really understood that and that’s what made his hands-on learning so successful. He empathized with his student and knew the best way to teach something was to find ways to make you forget you where learning. I have always found it easier to learn when I am having fun or enjoying the processes.
Mr.Pausch was a great speaker. I believe that he inspired any one and every one he came in contact with. Just that one video reminded me never to give up on my dreams and to be thankful for every thing I have. He really seemed to have enjoyed every thing he accomplished and never regretted any thing.

PLN Post #1

I have chosen to do symbaloo. At first after going threw all the information about PLN it was very overwhelming. Then when I looked at the symbaloo stuff I thought it was really cool. I liked the different widgets. I liked how easy it was to move around my widgets and get them set where and how I wanted to categorize them. I enjoyed roaming around threw the website and figuring out how to do different things. I am looking forward to becoming more familiar with symbaloo and to continue to use it.

C4K Summary

I Followed Kiley M from Noel Elementary Class of 2011. She is the youngest of 5 children at her house. Kiley loves to read and write and expresses herself very well. She has a little trouble in math but knows that she has to work on it. She is a people person and her hobby is drawing. I also got to read her learning manifesto. She is a very smart and driven student. She knows that her education is very important and she doesn’t plan on letting any one stand in her way.

I told Kiley that I thought she had so much going for her and seemed to have a bright future ahead. I reminded her to have fun in school but to always keep school as her number one priority.  I am very proud of all that her and her classmates have accomplished.

Blog Assignment 6

The Networked Student
My first impression on this video was that it sounded like just what we were doing in EDM310. I liked the paper dolls I thought it was a creative way to give a visual image of every thing that was being said. A lot of what was being talked about where things that we are doing now in class including reading other peoples blogs and commenting on them and sharing our own opinions on our own blog.
As I continue to complete assignments I get more and more comfortable with the concept of networking. I enjoy reading other peoples thoughts and feelings on different subjects and learning different techniques. The hardest part to me would probably be just getting use to every thing and not being in a class room. On the other hand I feel like one can still have that teacher, classmate, and teacher relationship because we are all there to help each other.
I do not know if I am prepared to be a teacher of a network student. I am a people person and I feel like being in the classroom is something that is important. I know that technology is advancing every day and that this concept is going to become a lot more popular. I think that it might be good for upper level students like in high school but I wouldn’t want to have all classes networked.
A 7th graders Personal Learning Environment
I am very impressed that this was done by a 7th grader considering I am a junior in collage and just now learning some of the techniques she uses. It is great that she already knows how to do so much at such a young age. Her PLE is defiantly a lot more advanced then my PLN. I wish that I would have had the chance she did to start at a younger age because now I feel like I am behind. I agree with her that it makes you become a lot more responsible and the end product is a lot cooler then paper work.
The machine is Changing us
this is a picture of the world networking
I think this was a very cool video. I like the way he goes back and brings up how much things have changed. I think it’s cool how the generations have changed in good and bad ways. The media has a lot of influence on society. It seems to me that the media in some ways controls the way we speak, think and act. It makes me wonder what it would be like if we didn’t have the media, would some people be able to survive?

Blog Assignment 5

Eagle’s Nest Radio Episode#3
I thought the third graders where so cute and they did a very good job. I thought their music was very cool and really added a lot to their podcast. I thought at the beginning a few of them felt nerves but as the podcast continued I could tell they started to feel more confident. I just did my first podcast last week and I was nerves so I would say to be in third grad and accomplishing something like that is amazing.
The Benefits of Podcasting in the Classroom
I think that podcasting is really fun and something different that would make different activities a lot more enjoyable.   I think podcasting is great especially for people who are more auditory learners. This was they are able to hear and replay what a teacher has said and really let that point sink in. This is just another way technology can help people and open more doors.
Judy Scharf Podcast Collection
At first I didn’t know what a podcast was, but after reading this post I think I have a better understanding. Since I have now done a podcast and gotten some back ground information on what it is I think I will be able to use this new technique to my advantage not only for this class but for classes down the road and in my own classroom one day.

Blog Assignment 4

this is a picture of dancing music notes
Don’t Teach Your Kids This Stuff. Please?

Mr. McLeod is an assistant professor and is a strong supporter in technology being used in public schools. He strongly believes that schools are not using enough technology to prepare their students for the future. I really enjoyed Mr. McLeod’s take on technology. I think it really is ridicules when I hear people talk about how bad the internet is and that they are protecting their kids by not letting them use it. We are living in a world where with out some kind of basic knowledge on how to use the computer/internet one would not be able to survive. Technology is our future there is really no going back its only going to get more advanced and our kids need all the help they can get.

The iSchool Initiative

Travis is a high school student who has come up with an idea on how to improve learning and the environment with an already favorite electronic device, the ipod touch. Travis believes that with the advancement in technology that schools would be saving a lot of money by investing in his program. He talks about how a lot of already existing applications would be enough to get started, applications related to history, math, science, reading, and English. An average ipad touch coast around 150 dollars and Travis states that with that purchase the schools would still be saving around 600 dollars a student and helping the environment due to the deletion of text books.
I was very impressed with Travis. He had a very thought out and well prepared presentation that could maybe one day really be considered. I didn’t know that the ipad touch was able to do all those things already due to the fact I do not have one. I think that he makes a lot of good points and that there is still a lot to think about and consider before something like this could really take affect.

The Lost Generation

I thought that this video was very clever. I didn’t even think about what it would say if you started to read it backwards, it surprised me at first. My first thoughts were wow this girl has a lot of issues and the music and black hole background did not help. Then when she started to read it backwards I liked the way it looked like the words where coming out of the hole and I felt a feeling of hope.

Eric Whitaker’s Virtual Choir

This was probably one of the coolest things I have seen so fare. That is amazing that he was able to take so many talented people who had never met before and have them sing together while all in different places. This shows how technology has really come along and what can be done with it. This could really bring every one together and make learning a really fun experience.

Additional Assignment # 1

I did not know about Google Squared or Wolfram before I saw this video. I didn’t know there where tools out there that could provided all the information you need at just one site, I am use to having to look at multiple sites for a lot of information .
I like Google Squared. I would feel a lot better using it as a tool for research because it is a much more reliable source. Wolfram is also a good reliable source and it has great pictures that really help when one is looking up information and want a good visual.
The two new websites I learned about didn’t change my thoughts on Did You Know as much as made me think more about where the students in the video got there statistics from. I know that you can’t always believe every thing you see online and that people get there information from different sources but I would like to go back and look up some of the statistic shown in the video and check them for verification.

Pitcairn Islands Map
I liked the food for thought article because I want an ipad and it makes me feel better that some one younger then me can work one so maybe I won’t have a hard time figuring it out.

Blog Assignment 3

A Vision of Students Today:
I have been in school for three years now and looking at that video reminded me of some of the class I never attended or wanted to fall asleep in because the class was boring. As those students held up their papers I thought back and I remember thinking a lot of those same things. What I don’t understand is why technology isn’t being used and that copying what’s on the board is considered a way of learning.
I hear kids talking about different classes and the amount they are spending on books that the teacher says they need but that they never use and then when they try to sell them back they don’t even get half the price. I try to look at every ones situation with an open mind because I know that every ones is different. The video seemed to have been taken from the student’s point of view, but what about the teachers? I think sometimes it is forgotten at one point teachers where just like us and I think it would be interesting to see what their thought on the things we are dealing with at this age are.

It’s not about the Technology:
I remember being younger and wondering what it was going to be like to be a teacher when I grew up. I wondered how things would be different and what things would stay the same. I knew technology was becoming more advanced and I wondered how or if that would affect teach as I got older and how different it would be to be the teacher and not the student.
I think Mrs. Hines made some great points about education and really understands what needs to happen to improve education. I agree that teachers have to be up to date with every thing and any thing because in some way it affects them, good or bad. I agree it’s important that teachers can some how find ways to relater to there students. I also liked that Mrs. Hines talked about that we have to find away to make learning successful for all students. A also agree that technology is a great tool to use when it is use right.

Gary Hayes Social Media Count:
I can’t believe how fast all those numbers keep moving. As a teacher I think this is very important because we will be teaching students who are familiar with a lot of technology. Its odd to know that every second some one is doing something on the computer and how connected every one is at all times.

Is It ok to Be A Technologically Illiterate Teacher?
I have never been on to say I was technology savvy. Now after starting this class I can still confirm I am way behind on technology. At first I didn’t know what a blog was and I didn’t know any one who had one or used one, but know I am realizing there is so much more to do on the internet then I could of every imagined.
This is a picture of a eye on a computer screen
It’s all very overwhelming because I need skills like this to help me be a better teacher in the future and I am just now getting use to the word blog. I wish I would have had more classes on computer technology when I was in school I think kids need more then just typing class. I know that technology is only going to keep increasing so how are we suppose to keep up and teach our students ?

Teachers Comments

this is a picture of an apple with the word teacher over it
I have been fallowing Morgan Bayda from Saskatchewan. She has a Bachelor in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She loves adventure and loves all children. The first blog post I commented on was so amazing and had so many wonderful pictures. Morgan talks about her first experience with volunteer travel. I find out that she is located in Costa Rica and has really embraced every aspect of the culture and the students she is working with. Her pictures are amazing and show her doing anything and everything and also the beauty of Costa Rica. The second blog I posted on really showed me her passion not only for people but for animals. Morgan Is busy on the beach and her first encounter with a full grown leatherback sea turtle. She talks about how she works for the sea turtles protecting them from poachers who want their eggs. Morgan ends her blog by letting us know that she is leaving Costa Rica with more questions then answers and that is ok with her because she is also leaving with a sense of possibility and excitement about all the doors that are opening up for her.

Blog Assignment 2

this is a picture of the world filled with different things used in classrooms
Did You Know?
At first I didn’t really know what to think , but as I started to think about the statistics that were streaming across my screen I realized how much I didn’t know. I feel like we as humans are getting too advanced for our own planet. I have only been alive 20 years and I can even tell how fare we have come. We study history and some times forget that the things people are coming up with are and will be history.
Mr. Winkle Wakes
I think this is a very well done video. Showing how technology is growing so fast but that class rooms haven’t changed much. I think it’s sad that teachers don’t have the ecology in their class rooms to make learning a lot better. Most class rooms that I have been in still have your basic chalk board and a teacher can not do much with that but have students copy notes from the board and I don’t believe that one can really learn from that.
Vicki Davis: Harness Your Students' Digital Smarts
I think she would be a great teacher to have. I think that if all kids had as many resources as those kids have the drop out rate would decrees dramatically because kids would want to learn. I agree that kids need more then paper and pencil to learn they need to be able to use technology to the fullest. I like that the teacher made it clear that she was ok with her students teaching her knew things when a lot of teachers I know and had wouldn’t like that.
Sir Ken Robinson: The Importance of Creativity
I think it’s very important to be creative. When we were younger being creative was what made us who we were. Then as we got older the creativity turned it a hobby and being right became what was important. If students were able to be more creative other then fallowing the strict guidelines of society I think a lot more would be learned. This video is very funny and also gets its point across.

Blog Assignment 1

this is a picture of me in a funny car
I am 20 and was born in Sao Palo, Brazil and adopted when I was two years old. I have lived in Mobile Alabama most of my life except for 2 years when my family moved to Millbrook Alabama for my dads Job. I am the youngest of three and both my brother and sister, who are both 21, are also adopted from Brazil. My parents are both educators;  my mother is newly retired from teaching 25 years in Mobile and my dad is retired from Alabama School System and works in Mississippi as a high school Administrator . I have three jobs; I work at Sunshine Skate center, Mobile Country Club, and at Davidson High school
I can’t remember a time that I didn’t want to be a teacher. I have grown up around educators, my parents, and I have seen the way they have impacted children’s lives over the years. My brother and sister were both classified as special needs students all threw school and I have experienced a lot of their struggles and accomplishments and that helped me narrow my choice of study to special education.
